Welcome to the Priority Youth Housing Home Page. Priority Youth Housing provides accommodation with support to single homeless people aged 16-25 years old and housing support and advice throughout the Bristol and South Gloucestershire areas, England, UK.
Priority Youth Housing’s Mission is: “To improve the housing and support services for vulnerable young people in the Bristol and South Gloucestershire area and to raise awareness of their needs, including delivering high quality and strategically relevant services in these areas” Priority does this by providing: • Supported housing in shared homes and self-contained flats • Information, advice and guidance on training, education and employment • Support for council, housing association and private sector tenants (Floating Support) • Information and advice on housing and other related issues. Through housing, support advice and guidance services Priority also: • Tackles homelessness • Increases skills and opportunities for employment • Promotes life skills and independence • Assists in the regeneration and stability of communities. In May 2006 PYH opened St Georges House, an emergency housing and support project for 25 young people in Bristol providing an alternative to bed and breakfast accommodation for homeless 16-25 year olds in the city; and the first such dedicated emergency support in the city for 5 years. |
